Developed in collaboration with coaches from the French national rowing team, the U-Pitot is a brilliantly simple yet effective innovation. No electronics, no complex sensors — it relies solely on a proven physical principle: the Pitot tube.
Mounted at the stern of the boat, it generates a small vertical jet of water its intensity shifting with the boat’s speed. With a quick glance, rowers can instantly detect changes in speed and pinpoint inefficiencies, particularly during the catch phase of the stroke.
Ingeniously simple and remarkably reliable, this tool is invaluable for both novice and elite rowers alike.
Effortless to install and remove, it is universally compatible with all boats, except for coxed eights (8+).

Unfortunately doesn't fit coastal sculling boat or pairs/doubles
To clarify, the U-Pitot isn’t designed for coastal rowing boats, which explains why it didn’t fit your setup.
Thanks to your feedback, we will now explore the development of a coastal version of some of our products, including the U-Pitot, to better meet the needs of coastal rowers.
